These exceptional antique Turkish silver goblets have a circular bell shaped form onto a waisted pedestal, to a circular spreading foot.
The surface of each vessel is embellished with impressive engine turned decoration accented with exceptional cast and applied arabesque style arched ornamentation to the lower portion.
The drinking vessel surmounts a plain knopped waisted pedestal.
The circular spreading foot of each goblet is ornamented with further impressive cast arabesque style designs, accented with leaf motifs, in addition to a bead decorated border to the outer circumference.
These exceptional examples of antique silverware feature the Tughra Mark of the Sultan mark to the surface; there is no maker’s marks, therefore the maker is unknown.
Condition
These antique Turkish silver goblets are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The engine turned decoration is very crisp and the cast ornamentation is very sharp.
The Turkish ‘Tughra Mark of the Sultan’ hallmark struck to the surface of each goblet has wear in keeping with age and location, but remains legible.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of antique Turkish silverware.
