A wonderful antique Victorian carved oak bench, made in England and dating from around the 1870-1880 period.
It is of outstanding quality, with profuse and intricate carving throughout. It is a great size, perfect for use as an entry way bench, at the foot of a bed or even as a dining bench. There are carved bolsters on each end of the seat, this stands on beautifully turned and carved legs. The front lower edge is beautifully carved, the back lower edge is plain.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent, with some minor wear and patina remaining beneath the polish here and there.
