An Italian Neoclassical-design bench with six square and tapered fluted legs, each with a carved Corinthian capital motif. Supported by an apron with carved wood, having a vitruvian scroll motif frieze. The upholstered seat with ribbon applique, hand-sewn to form a classical motif. Bench has a pleasing chipped paint finish with natural walnut visible in areas. Embroidered upholstered seat with spotting, faint discoloration due to age. Circa 1880.
