This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver christening mug has a tapering cylindrical form.
The body of the antique silver christening mug is ornamented with fine and impressive bright cut engraved bands of interlacing bands, incorporating simplified quatrefoil designs and accented with simplified scalloped borders.
The body is further embellished with two bands of embossed bead decoration, with applied bead decoration to the upper and lower rims.
The antique silver christening mug is fitted with a plain C shaped handle.
This exceptional mug was crafted by the London silversmiths Thomas Bradbury III & John S Henderson of Thomas Bradbury & Sons.

The mug has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
The applied and embossed decoration is very sharp and the bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside are very clear.
