A Rare Form, All original and complete, except for chip in one ball foot. It is a wonderful compact design, all cast iron or forged steel construction. Sturdy. No looseness. Approx. 260lbs. Possibly started its life out as a banking lobby or vault table. Procured from a Washington DC area Artists’ Estate.
Tabletop surface is not smooth; heavily patinated and deeply pitted from oxidation. Table surface was scrapped, sanded, polished and waxed. No holes through iron or steel plating. But there is a hole/chip missing out of one of the ball feet which is pictured. No makers markings.
