A beautiful Chinese nested wedding basket in brown, red, and brass. Baskets like these were given to brides on their wedding day before going to their new home. This basket has three nested boxes that stack one on top of the other. Two side pieces, one on each side are intricately carved with a figurative scene of a woman on her wedding day amongst flora and fauna. The two panels come together at the top and make a handle for carrying. Cut brass pieces decorate throughout and on the top in a stylized brass handle. We love the idea of using this basket as a side table or accent table in a living room or patio.

Elegance from days gone by… that’s what this silver plate jewelry box is. The silver plate is embossed with a foliage design and there is a space on the top for a monogram if desired. There is presently no monogram. The well hinged lid opens to reveal a clean velvet lined interior. The hinges hold the top open. The piece is probably hand made and there is no makers mark.
The pearls are not included.

Antique bamboo hall tree and or coat rack with a crescent mirror and aesthetic movement details.
Original wicker front two pieces had to be replaced with some textured Grasscloth with hints of blue and tan.
Original tray pan at the base for use of catching water when used for umbrellas.
This is an antique and has some normal wear consistent with age including cracks in bamboo which is consistent when reall bamboo is used.
Original metal hooks resembling bamboo roots.
Repairs and some restoration have been made.

Early 19th century oak candle box from England. This is a wonderful folk art box with loads of character! The top of the box is hand carved and has wonderful scalloped shapes and a central heart, surrounded by inlaid hears for added whimsy. The lid of the box is banded in boxwood and follows down to simple sides and the front panel is also inlaid in boxwood. There is a central frame in which is enclosed another lovely heart over a crossed knife and fork, and a diamond below. This box was made by someone with love and caring for its place in a home. What a wonderful piece we are so lucky to be able to offer!

A beautiful art glass jar and silver plate lid, circa early 20th century, England. Silver lid is decorated with embossed botanical design in Art Nouveau style. The box has ornate art glass patterns on all parts of the sides with a large star pattern on the entire surface of the base. Demonstrated shown as jewelry box. Piece displays beautifully on a vanity, desk, dresser, etc. Dimensions: 5″W x 5″D x 3.5″H.

An oval Battersea Bilston English Enamel Love Motto Patch Box. The top reads “The Gift of a Friend” with a decorative border. The base is Pink enamel.

The box is in good condition. Slight crazing on the top. The hinges are good with a nice patina. The box closes good and tight.

Measures approximately 1 ½” x 1 1/8” x ¾” tall.

This Patch Box is English, enamel on copper. Circa 1790.
