A vintage 1950s Barovier & Toso light cranberry glass lamp base. That’s right. It’s just the base. No fixtures or wiring. Made by the Barovier & Toso factory on the island of Murano, Italy. The hand-blown glass is a light cranberry color with bits of silver foil throughout the piece. The exterior is heavily ribbed, and there are large controlled bubbles inside the glass.

This is a Hollywood Regency-style lamp base. Remnants of a Barovier & Toso general export label still adhered to the top of the neck. The base is in excellent condition, and outside of the normal slight signs of wear from previous use and display, the vase has no damage or defects whatsoever. In fantastic shape.

DIMENSIONS: The lamp is 15 inches tall and 8 inches wide. The bottom of the base has an OD of 4 1/4 inches. The neck has a raised area for a cap (3” cap size). The lamp weighs nearly 8 lbs.
