A beautiful wood relief carving by master woodcarver, Luis Potosi depicting a young Ecuadorian couple.

Luis Potosi was born September 20th, 1937 in San Antonio de Ibara, Imbabura, Ecuador. He studied at the Institute of Fine Arts “Daniel Reyes”, where he honed his knowledge of art and majored in sculpture. His teachers were prominent artists of the Quito School successors. He graduated in 1957 and has since established his own studio-school, where he has taught more than a hundred artisans.

In excellent condition with a nice patina and normal wear from age and use. Ready to display.
