Hand-carved in the Regence style in France during the 1800’s, this very elegant trumeau would have originally come from a boiserie or wooden paneled room. Ornamentation throughout the room would have been similar, including the stylized shells, C-scrolls, gadrooned leaves and vines seen on our trumeau. The original finish has been removed, revealing some stunning wood grain patterns.
It is rare to find a trumeau with dual mirrors, as typically the upper section would contain a painting or elaborate carvings. This beautiful Regence style bleached oak trumeau with two mirrored sections will be a focal point in any room.
