Found in the South of France, this 19th Century French Armchair was crafted from walnut in the mid 1800’s. Presented as found in it’s original upholstery, the piece features hand carved wide set armrest that end in a slight scroll. The arms rest on hand turned supports that follow through to four hand turned legs. The base, which is in a triangular shape is supported by two side and one center stretcher. Two wooden supports for the arms connecting to the back of the chair seem to have been added at a later date for additional support, which only adds to the charm of this piece. This uniquely shaped accent chair will add a touch of French charm to all interiors.
