A fine quality mid-19th century figured walnut, sycamore and thuya marquetry crossbanded credenza, stamped ‘Gillow & Co.’
The top having diamond pattern parquetry inlay, fine ‘Linke’ influenced ormolu mounts to the frieze and swags surrounding the oval classically painted panels, depicting scenes from ‘A midsummer nights dream’ to the doors. The sides with mirror backed shelves, raised on a plinth base and turned ormolu mounted feet.
