Anglo Indian carved brass top table, the base intricately carved with double cross stretchers. The top is raised with a heraldic eagle crest surrounded by a holly and thistle wreath. The brass inset is polished and lacquered for easy maintenance. The inscription below the eagle is taken from the Odes of Horace and translates “plunge it into the depths, it emerges the fairer.”
