Vintage Design
The lamp consists of three elements. The glare ring forms the central element. Above is a plain, white lacquered cylinder that houses the receptacle for the cable as well as the socket. Inside is an open cylinder of opal glass that acts as a diffuser surrounding the bulb. The glass peeks out slightly below the glare ring. However, the most striking detail of this lamp is the dark metal glare ring. The ring features the perforation characteristic of Ernest Igl luminaire designs. The irregular-looking holes light up as bright dots when switched on.
