The outer edge is painted dark green. On the reverse is a red, outer ring, with spaces numbered 50 in yellow or 100 in black on white/pink. This is followed by open, black spaces, then by another red wreath with the numbers 1-8 painted in gold and green. Yellow striping separates all of the elements and more striping in black, red, and yellow follows in the center.
The small size is another terrific feature of this striking piece of 19th century folk art. One of the best painted game wheels I have ever encountered.
Condition: There is a 1/2″ x 5″ diagonal repair on the face, expertly done, accompanied by two small areas of dotted touch-up. Otherwise there are extremely minor scrapes and losses. Overall excellent.
