Set of Six Henry II circa 1880 French Oak & Embossed Leather Lion Dining Chairs

A very rare and totally original set of Victorian dining chairs. They have the original distressed and heavily worn upholstery which has been embossed with lovely detail to the back and base. The studs are sublime, over sized and very detailed, the brass handles depict Victorian interpretations of dolphins, on top you find hand carved Lions mains, very nice

In terms of the condition we have cleaned waxed and polished them from top to bottom, there are good honest signs of patina all over from century’s of use, structurally they are sound

As mentioned the leather is original, it has ware and patina marks all over as you would expect from hide 140+ years old. The bases are coil-sprung with the original horse hair padding
