A superb and rare single antique four poster bed with crown and canopy, dating from the late Nineteenth Century. This delicate piece has ornate panels at the head and foot, with decorative castings and central brass plaque depicting an urn with flowers. The four slender posts have brass cast tops with oval finials, and the arched tentacle canopy supports a central brass crown with oval finial. This beautifully proportioned bed finished in “antique white” would grace any bedroom, and is ideal for a teenage girl.
The origin of this bed is the United Kingdom, although it was originally manufactured for export, and has recently been discovered in Morocco.
