This shelf/server has a heavily carved broken arch crestrail with a center scallop shell carved in high relief which is flanked by carved leaf arabesques and a carved wave scroll. The three shelves have carved and applied moldings. The top and lower shelves have aprons with carved shaping. The upper and lower shelves are supported by fluted and turned columns on the front and back sides. The middle and lower shelf have molded galleries. The center section has two drawers with recessed fluted fronts framed by shaped moldings and are lined throughout with solid dove tailed mahogany. The handles are made of heavy cast brass and are original. The lower legs are turned and terminate in the original brass and porcelain castors.
