\n A fusion of English and Japanese art influences also known as Anglo-Japanese style. This decorative plate was created in 1879 by Wedgewood, to celebrate the Japanese style of the Aesthetic Movement. An art movement in the late 19th Century that valued, literature, music and the arts. The Wedgewood Argenta Majolica Art Plate features a blossoming fan prunus, a bumble bee and a yellow butterfly on a cream background with a basket weave pattern.
