A fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver novelty pepper shakers in the form of champagne bottles; an addition to our silver cruets or condiments collection.<\/p>\n

These impressive antique Victorian silver peppers, in sterling standard, have a cylindrical shaped form realistically modelled in the form of champagne bottles.<\/p>\n

The upper tapering portion of each pepper shaker is embellished with a band of frosted gilt ornamentation with a scalloped border to the lower edge, representing the metal foil envelope to the bottle.<\/p>\n

The lower cylindrical portion and subtly concaved underside of each item is plain and unembellished.<\/p>\n

Each pepper is fitted with a gilded push fit cover modelled in the form of a foil capped champagne cork embellished with pierced ‘pepper’ holes subdivided by an integrated wire muselet\/wirehood design.<\/p>\n

Condition
\nThese antique Victorian silver peppers are a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each body and cover are all very clear.<\/p>\n
